Terraverga
The norwegian food and wine enthusiasts Bibbi and Klaus launched a book about food and wine in Piemonte. During their trip they met many wine producers from Piemonte and established a particular friendship with Alberto Fenocchio, one of the best known and outstanding producers of this area.
An idea came up during one of their testing experiences: to manifest their good friendship bringing one relatively unknown grape "Pelaverga" in the norwegian market.
The wine is a Special edition of Fenocchio: a DOC Langhe Rosso with Nebbiolo, Pelaverga and Barolo grapes called Terraverga.
The brief was very open; to used a drawing from the TV host Fredrik Skavlan (who illustrated the book) but not to make a typical "celebrity wine".
Fenocchio has a very strong brand personality and reputation within the norwegian market, so we decided to use the black and white identity to guarantee recognizability.
The existing labels of Fenocchio are characterized by a black stripe with the brand-name and a bigger white space dedicated to the grape, origin and technical information with an overall modern and sober look. We concentrated all the info about the wine in a black front label and added a second front white label for the numeration of each bottle (the only red element on this red wine).
The back label contains information about the wine and the story of this edition together with a more personal and friendly approach given by the drawings and the signatures.
Because of the unique value of the story of this wine we choose to work on a layout that can be interpreted as a wine with 2 front labels.
